Our Untold Story: What led to the finding of HypoAllergenic Collection

Firstly, here’s a warm welcome to our page and thank you for taking interest to find out more about us! We feel so loved ;) Without wasting time further, let me take you back in time to get a glimpse of my past and share what circumstances led us to set up Hypoallergenic Collection.


But wait, did you know that I actually started sharing my hypoallergenic, handmade jewellery range online only recently though I have been designing for private clients for many years now. I bet you didn’t know that, right?! So let me start my story by bringing you back in time to my past now.

My elder gal, or should I say my miracle child who was born after countless, unexplained miscarriages and hundreds of blood tests (to identify some form of problem so that we can actually fix it but we never did!), has had chronic eczema since birth. She needed full time care and that's why I had quit my Senior Manager role in Spring Singapore for. The joy of escaping the stress/madness of looking after a chronic eczema girl, in the mornings was offset by the sorrow that swallowed me every evening whenever I saw her with so much fiery rashes, bleeding wounds and cut skin. Guilt was eating me up alive, so I chucked my career aspirations, double MBAs (NTU) that I worked since 16 years old to earn/bag and sanity and gave up my job. Anyone can take over my job but no one can take care of my girl like I do. But I didn't want to waste my branding and marketing communications skills I had mastered over 14 years too.

So that's when my ex-partner came by. I helped her with Fb marketing for her business remotely. I increased her profits by multiple folds and her FB fan base by 70 percent in a span of just 3 months. It was at that phase where I started designing jewellery for her. I did it for a few years and when it started to do very well, I spun off to do my own.

But this time, I decided to focus only on hypoallergenic, premium quality, customisable jewellery range as my gal with many food and material allergies always yearned to accessorise like her peers do but there was hardly any genuine hypoallergenic ones around. Those accessorises that claimed to be hypoallergenic most often flamed up her already rashy ears :( So I set off on a mission and researched about hypoallergenic parts and materials and did many trials and errors with parts ordered from many parts of the world. When I eventually discovered the winning combinations that didn't flame up my girl's skin, I launched a premium, Hypoallergenic range - all handmade from scratch so that I can control the quality of the accessories.


By God's blessings, I recovered my investment in the first week itself and I often rejoice whenever clients feedback on how I have dazzled up their lives with my jewels (i.e. my hypoallergenic accessories) ;) When client is happy, I can’t ask for more! ;)

So what sets Hypoallergenic Collection apart from the rest?

1) After years of research on hypoallergenic metals and materials suitable for even the most sensitive skin, the material parts used in our designs are imported from all over the world (eg Russia, UK,USA, Taiwan,HK,etc) such that even those with sensitive or eczema skin can style up, pain-free. Yes, every part of our jewellery is designed to be hypoallergenic.

2) Our jewellery range is non-tarnishing, non-rusting and non-fading as I carefully selected materials that fulfill this condition - so no copper, brass, rose gold, sterling silver etc. I was practically sick of my jewellery fading, discolouring or rusting and me converting my purchases to white elephants. That is why 99.9% of my collection is made of Grade 304/316 Surgical Stainless steel used for medical implants, Titanium, Platinum, Silicone, Wood or Plastic.

3) All our designs are handmade locally and that too in my working room, in-house so as to have topmost quality control and this way, it also allows us to provide aftercare service, if necessary. Our style is fusion and we can do clip-on earrings for those who have not pierced their ears even. We stand by our designs, proudly.
