I recently came across two infographics that kind of summarises the different earring styles that will flatter your facial features and thus decided to share it below with you ;)
So if you are a square or rectangular shaped face, I will propose that you consider rounded or tear-drop earrings to bring some curves to the face and avoid lengths that end at the jaw level to distract the viewer away from the deep jawline.
In the case of someone with Diamond/Heart/Inverted Triangle shaped face where his/her pointed chin draws alot of attention, we can explore triangle or tear-drop or dome-shaped earrings to fill up the space beside the chin and balance out the width overall.
For rounded faces, avoid circles and voluminous earrings that add width and more roundness to your face. Instead you can consider lengthy, geometric shapes to 'elongate' your face image and reduce the perceived roundness when seen.
For long, oblong or rectangular faces where length seems much longer than the width, you can consider more voluminous earrings and rounded types to add width and balance the facial space.

I also chanced upon the below infographic that gives more clarity on size as well as shapes/forms of earrings that best complements your face shape. The principles used are the same as I shared in the earlier paragraph. Try the shapes proposed and you will be amazed with the results!
